Random Musings: Candy Crush Saga -- Can't Stop Candy Crushing

I think it was last February when I first played Candy Crush Saga and from then on, I cannot stop playing it. I even had to ask my beau and my close friend Kim to join the game just to send me free lives especially that I often ran out of lives in clearing just one level.

One day, to my surprise, I just found out that Kim got ahead of me and is now at level 100+. And I am trying if I can reach the level where she is now.

I play it on both Facebook and on my tablet. I am not sure if it just me, but I played some levels that were easier to clear on Facebook than on my tablet, and vice-versa.

For me, I think it is not just a game where you have to move candies in different positions just to score points or make candy combinations. It is not just about destroying those licorice and multiplying chocolates, leveling-up or beating someone on the leader board.

As a gamer, I like this game so much because it gives me the feeling of fun while trying to think on how to clear a level. And what makes me so engaged on it are the challenging levels that it offers especially those where you will need to think hard for a strategy like what move should be better especially if you only have limited time or moves.

Some of the levels though are easy and if you are lucky, you can have those candy combinations at the beginning before making that first move, and they are such a big help. As for those difficult levels I had encountered like level 65, I was stuck there for more than a month. I was just able to complete Level 65 when I played it on Facebook instead of playing it on my tablet. On Facebook, I used the extra moves from friends and the Lollipop Hammer which I was saving. I made it on the third try so I finally got past the level, and I was so happy about it.

At the moment, my challenge is to get pass Level 100 where I need to clear all the jelly without running out of time before the bomb explodes, and also clearing the jelly using enough moves. I hope it won't take me another month for this one.

If you are playing this awesome game, happy candy crushing! : )

04/11/2013: At long last! I just completed Level 100 on Facebook. : D
