Random Musings: My Unforgettable Lazada Experience

I encountered Lazada Philippines through RCBC Bankard. There was this promo that time where you can use a discount code from RCBC Bankard which you can use at Lazada PH if you avail an item.  

Out of curiosity I checked Lazada PH out for myself. There I found that it was an online mall where you get to order an item and have it delivered at your doorstep within 5 to 7 days, or it depends on your location. I guess it helped that II saw it on RCBC Bankard's website, my doubt on Lazada PH somewhat lessened so I decided to purchase my first item from this virtual mall.

My beau asked me what I want for Christmas, so I told him that I want this affordable tablet which I found at Lazada. He then told me to make the purchase so I can have it before Christmas.

The timeline goes...

December 17, 2012, I made the online order for a Coby Kyros MID7048.

December 21, 2012 -- The package arrived at my home where my mom was the one who received it. I only got to check it after I came home from work. Upon opening the package, to our surprise, I got this manicure and pedicure set and an O+ 5.3 Music. I tried to call their hotline but I cannot reach them since it was beyond the usual support hours.

December 22, 2012 -- I called them early in the morning so I can work what needed to be done just for me to get the right item. They instructed me to fill-in the answers of their Return Form found at their website and have the wrong items sent back to them. They also informed me that I will get the refund of the shipping fee once they process my request.

December 23 to 27, 2012 -- I have been following-up everything to their Customer Support. So I missed Christmas to get my gift.

December 28, 2012 -- They informed me via email that they finally sent the right item to me. I really did not stop sending tickets and emails to them just to have my issue get resolved.

December 30, 2012 -- I finally got the right item. I thought I will also miss the New Year.

January 02, 2013 -- After the holidays, I followed-up on my refund of the shipping fee that I paid in returning the wrong items. 

January 09, 2013 -- After sending lots of emails and non-stop calls, they finally deposited the amount to my bank account.

It was almost two weeks of disappointments. frustrations and hassles. I was really angry that time and I have to bear the delays since it was also the holidays that time. I tried my best to be patient and considerate. I told them my rants like it was my first time to purchase an item from them and something like this happened. They just told me that it was just an isolated case and they were really sorry. I accepted their sincerest apologies, and immediately worked out with them on how I can resolve my issue.

In the end, despite that awful experience that I had, I was still happy that my long wait for my item was over. I was grateful to the people under their Customer Support Team who did their best to assist me. 

I hope on my next purchase from Lazada PH, if ever I decide to buy another item from them, I  won't have this kind of problem again.
